The details

• Processor: M3
• Storage: 128GB
• Finish: Black
• Brand: Xiaomi
• Condition: New

Who it suits

It is usually bought for anyone who wants current hardware without a contract and people upgrading from an older handset.

Background

A phone is the device most people replace least often and use most, so the specification that matters is the one you will still be happy with in two or three years — storage and battery far more than headline processor speed. Against the other 407 smartphones we list, this one sits around the middle of the range at R3 895, with most falling between R249 and R23 389.

Points to check

• Check what is included in the box, as bundled cables and adapters vary between models and regions.
• Where a listing offers several configurations, the difference is usually memory or storage rather than the core hardware.
• If you are moving from another phone, check what transfer tools the manufacturer provides so setup is not a manual job.
