Targus USB-C Dual 4K Docking Station (Dock190REU)

The Targus USB-C Dual 4K Docking sits in our hubs and docks range. It is supplied new unless the listing states otherwise.

Specification summary

• Brand: Targus
• Model / MPN: Dock190REU
• Condition: New

Who it suits

It is usually bought for desk setups running several peripherals and laptops short on ports.

Background

A hub shares one connection between several devices, so total bandwidth is finite. What the host laptop supports sets the ceiling, not the hub. Against the other 266 hubs and docks we list, this one sits towards the upper end of the range at R9 302, with most falling between R319 and R16 514.

Points to check

• Compare this against the other options in the range before deciding, since the closest alternative is often a better fit.
• If you are unsure whether this suits your setup, ask us before ordering rather than after.
• Check the exact model and variant against what you own before ordering, as compatibility is usually model-specific.
• Check which ports you actually need and whether the hub supports pass-through charging.
• Look at the specification you will still care about in two years, not only the one that matters this week.
