Background

A phone is the device most people replace least often and use most, so the specification that matters is the one you will still be happy with in two or three years — storage and battery far more than headline processor speed. Against the other 407 smartphones we list, this one sits towards the upper end of the range at R29 236, with most falling between R249 and R23 389.

Points to check

• If this is replacing something you already own, check the two are actually compatible rather than assuming.
• Compare this against the other options in the range before deciding, since the closest alternative is often a better fit.
• If you are unsure whether this suits your setup, ask us before ordering rather than after.
