Best suited to

Most customers choosing this are after laptops short on ports and desk setups running several peripherals.

Worth knowing

A hub shares one connection between several devices, so total bandwidth is finite. What the host laptop supports sets the ceiling, not the hub. Against the other 266 hubs and docks we list, this one sits around the middle of the range at R2 526, with most falling between R319 and R16 514.

Before you order

• If this is replacing something you already own, check the two are actually compatible rather than assuming.
• Where a listing offers several configurations, the difference is usually memory or storage rather than the core hardware.
• Display output over a hub depends on what the host machine supports, not only on the hub itself.
• Read the specification rather than the headline — the number in the title is rarely the one that decides the fit.
• Confirm the variant matches the one you need; near-identical model codes often differ in one specification that matters.
