Most customers choosing this are after backups and extra capacity and moving large files between machines.

Worth knowing

Storage is judged on interface, sustained speed and endurance rather than capacity alone. A drive that is fast in bursts is not the same as one that is fast under load. Against the other 482 storage drives we list, this one sits towards the upper end of the range at R10 488, with most falling between R319 and R11 565.

Before you order

• If you are unsure whether this suits your setup, ask us before ordering rather than after.
• Read the specification rather than the headline — the number in the title is rarely the one that decides the fit.
• Check the exact model and variant against what you own before ordering, as compatibility is usually model-specific.
• Where a listing offers several configurations, the difference is usually memory or storage rather than the core hardware.
• Look at the specification you will still care about in two years, not only the one that matters this week.

How we supply it

We supply this as imported stock. It is new, and it is not sourced through a South African distributor. Warranty cover is 2 years through ElectroGuy, and claims are handled by our team. There is no delivery charge within South Africa; expect 2–3 business days from payment clearing, as set out in our shipping policy. Should it not suit, you have 7 days from delivery to arrange a return on an unused item, and refunds are completed within 7 business days of approval.
