Who it suits

It is usually bought for people comfortable working inside a case and a PC build or an upgrade.

Background

Components have to match the rest of the build. Socket, chipset, power draw and physical clearance decide compatibility before performance ever comes into it. Against the other 552 PC components we list, this one sits towards the upper end of the range at R77 460, with most falling between R1 443 and R26 486.

Points to check

• Look at the specification you will still care about in two years, not only the one that matters this week.
• Check what is included in the box, as bundled cables and adapters vary between models and regions.
• Confirm the variant matches the one you need; near-identical model codes often differ in one specification that matters.
• Read the specification rather than the headline — the number in the title is rarely the one that decides the fit.
• Where a listing offers several configurations, the difference is usually memory or storage rather than the core hardware.
