The Sony PlayStation PS5 Slim Digital E Console + Galactic Purple Controller is a games console, supplied in South Africa by ElectroGuy. It combines Purple finish.

Key specifications

• Finish: Purple
• Brand: Sony PlayStation
• Condition: New

Who it suits

It is usually bought for households sharing a TV and gaming at home.

Background

A console is a fixed platform, so the practical questions are storage, which titles you want, and whether the household will be sharing it. Against the other 53 games consoles we list, this one sits around the middle of the range at R13 139, with most falling between R259 and R25 775.

Points to check

• Look at the specification you will still care about in two years, not only the one that matters this week.
• If you are unsure whether this suits your setup, ask us before ordering rather than after.
• If this is replacing something you already own, check the two are actually compatible rather than assuming.
• Read the specification rather than the headline — the number in the title is rarely the one that decides the fit.
• Check what is included in the box, as bundled cables and adapters vary between models and regions.
