Who it suits

It is usually bought for households sharing a TV and gaming at home.

Background

A console is a fixed platform, so the practical questions are storage, which titles you want, and whether the household will be sharing it. Against the other 53 games consoles we list, this one sits around the middle of the range at R10 799, with most falling between R259 and R25 775.

Points to check

• If this is replacing something you already own, check the two are actually compatible rather than assuming.
• Compare this against the other options in the range before deciding, since the closest alternative is often a better fit.
• If you are unsure whether this suits your setup, ask us before ordering rather than after.
• Check the exact model and variant against what you own before ordering, as compatibility is usually model-specific.
• Look at the specification you will still care about in two years, not only the one that matters this week.
