Background

Tablets sit between a phone and a laptop, and which side they lean towards depends almost entirely on what you attach to them. A keyboard or stylus changes the device more than any internal specification does. Against the other 239 tablets we list, this one sits around the middle of the range at R20 636, with most falling between R7 435 and R37 216.

Points to check

• If you plan to write or draw, check which stylus the model supports and whether it is included.
• Storage cannot usually be expanded on tablets, so buy for where you expect to be in two years.
• Decide between Wi-Fi and cellular before ordering — adding mobile data later means buying a different unit.
