Who this is for

It is a sensible fit for students and mobile work and reading, note-taking and media.

Some context

Tablets sit between a phone and a laptop, and which side they lean towards depends almost entirely on what you attach to them. A keyboard or stylus changes the device more than any internal specification does. Against the other 239 tablets we list, this one sits towards the affordable end of the range at R13 496, with most falling between R7 435 and R37 216.

Worth checking

• Read the specification rather than the headline — the number in the title is rarely the one that decides the fit.
• If this is replacing something you already own, check the two are actually compatible rather than assuming.
• If you plan to write or draw, check which stylus the model supports and whether it is included.
• Compare this against the other options in the range before deciding, since the closest alternative is often a better fit.
