Who this is for

It is a sensible fit for work and study and anyone replacing an ageing laptop.

Some context

A laptop is a set of compromises between speed, battery life, weight and screen size. There is no configuration that wins on all four, so the useful question is which of them you are willing to give up. Against the other 4139 laptops we list, this one sits around the middle of the range at R21 297, with most falling between R3 609 and R41 862.

Worth checking

• Check the port selection against what you actually plug in, and whether you will need a hub on top.
• Screen size drives portability more than weight does. A 16-inch machine is a desk machine in practice.
• Check the exact model and variant against what you own before ordering, as compatibility is usually model-specific.
