Who it suits
It is usually bought for daily personal use and anyone who wants current hardware without a contract.
Background
A phone is the device most people replace least often and use most, so the specification that matters is the one you will still be happy with in two or three years — storage and battery far more than headline processor speed. Against the other 407 smartphones we list, this one sits around the middle of the range at R11 246, with most falling between R249 and R23 389.
Points to check
Read the specification rather than the headline — the number in the title is rarely the one that decides the fit.
Where a listing offers several configurations, the difference is usually memory or storage rather than the core hardware.
If you are unsure whether this suits your setup, ask us before ordering rather than after.
Check the storage size against how you actually use a phone — photos and video fill a handset far faster than apps do.
