Who this is for

It is a sensible fit for households that print occasionally and home offices and small businesses.

Some context

Running cost matters more than purchase price on printers. The cartridge or toner economics over a few years usually dwarf the difference between two models on the shelf. Against the other 1656 printers we list, this one sits towards the upper end of the range at R11 773, with most falling between R1 244 and R22 382.

Worth checking

• Compare this against the other options in the range before deciding, since the closest alternative is often a better fit.
• Check the exact model and variant against what you own before ordering, as compatibility is usually model-specific.
• Check what is included in the box, as bundled cables and adapters vary between models and regions.
• Read the specification rather than the headline — the number in the title is rarely the one that decides the fit.
• If this is replacing something you already own, check the two are actually compatible rather than assuming.
