Who it suits

It is usually bought for a fixed workstation and people who want upgradeable hardware.

Background

Desktops give you more performance per rand than laptops and stay upgradeable for years, at the cost of being fixed to one place. For anyone who works at the same desk daily, that is usually the right trade. Against the other 1325 desktop PCs we list, this one sits towards the upper end of the range at R28 328, with most falling between R2 678 and R41 030.

Points to check

• Confirm the variant matches the one you need; near-identical model codes often differ in one specification that matters.
• If you are unsure whether this suits your setup, ask us before ordering rather than after.
• Read the specification rather than the headline — the number in the title is rarely the one that decides the fit.
