A good fit for

This desktop PC suits a fixed workstation and home offices with room for a tower.

How to think about it

Desktops give you more performance per rand than laptops and stay upgradeable for years, at the cost of being fixed to one place. For anyone who works at the same desk daily, that is usually the right trade. Against the other 1325 desktop PCs we list, this one sits towards the upper end of the range at R34 652, with most falling between R2 678 and R41 030.

What to confirm

• If this is replacing something you already own, check the two are actually compatible rather than assuming.
• Confirm which display outputs are available so it matches the monitors you already own.
• Compare this against the other options in the range before deciding, since the closest alternative is often a better fit.
• Check the case size against the space you have, and whether the parts you might add later will fit.
