Who this is for

It is a sensible fit for work and study and anyone replacing an ageing laptop.

Some context

A laptop is a set of compromises between speed, battery life, weight and screen size. There is no configuration that wins on all four, so the useful question is which of them you are willing to give up. Against the other 4139 laptops we list, this one sits towards the upper end of the range at R24 214, with most falling between R3 609 and R41 862.

Worth checking

• Check what is included in the box, as bundled cables and adapters vary between models and regions.
• If this is replacing something you already own, check the two are actually compatible rather than assuming.
• Look at the specification you will still care about in two years, not only the one that matters this week.
