Worth knowing

Components have to match the rest of the build. Socket, chipset, power draw and physical clearance decide compatibility before performance ever comes into it. Against the other 552 PC components we list, this one sits towards the affordable end of the range at R1 443, with most falling between R1 443 and R26 486.

Before you order

• Where a listing offers several configurations, the difference is usually memory or storage rather than the core hardware.
• Confirm the variant matches the one you need; near-identical model codes often differ in one specification that matters.
• Look at the specification you will still care about in two years, not only the one that matters this week.
• If you are unsure whether this suits your setup, ask us before ordering rather than after.
• If this is replacing something you already own, check the two are actually compatible rather than assuming.
