Who this is for

It is a sensible fit for households sharing a TV and gaming at home.

Some context

A console is a fixed platform, so the practical questions are storage, which titles you want, and whether the household will be sharing it. Against the other 53 games consoles we list, this one sits towards the upper end of the range at R25 775, with most falling between R259 and R25 775.

Worth checking

• If this is replacing something you already own, check the two are actually compatible rather than assuming.
• If you are unsure whether this suits your setup, ask us before ordering rather than after.
• Look at the specification you will still care about in two years, not only the one that matters this week.
• Confirm the variant matches the one you need; near-identical model codes often differ in one specification that matters.
• Where a listing offers several configurations, the difference is usually memory or storage rather than the core hardware.
