ATEN 2-Port USB VGA Cable KVM is a cable that we supply to South African customers ordering online.

At a glance

• Brand: Aten
• Model / MPN: CS22U
• Condition: New

Who it suits

It is usually bought for keeping a spare where you need one and replacing a worn cable.

Background

Cables are not interchangeable. Power delivery and data rate vary widely between cables that look identical, and the difference only shows up under load. Against the other 209 cables we list, this one sits around the middle of the range at R609, with most falling between R89 and R4 116.

Points to check

• Read the specification rather than the headline — the number in the title is rarely the one that decides the fit.
• If this is replacing something you already own, check the two are actually compatible rather than assuming.
• Check the exact model and variant against what you own before ordering, as compatibility is usually model-specific.
• Check what is included in the box, as bundled cables and adapters vary between models and regions.
• Length is worth thinking about before ordering — a cable that is slightly too short is useless.
