Worth knowing

A laptop is a set of compromises between speed, battery life, weight and screen size. There is no configuration that wins on all four, so the useful question is which of them you are willing to give up. Against the other 4139 laptops we list, this one sits around the middle of the range at R17 013, with most falling between R3 609 and R41 862.

Before you order

• Look at the specification you will still care about in two years, not only the one that matters this week.
• If this is replacing something you already own, check the two are actually compatible rather than assuming.
• Check what is included in the box, as bundled cables and adapters vary between models and regions.
