Who it suits

Background

A laptop is a set of compromises between speed, battery life, weight and screen size. There is no configuration that wins on all four, so the useful question is which of them you are willing to give up. Against the other 4139 laptops we list, this one sits towards the upper end of the range at R58 024, with most falling between R3 609 and R41 862.

Points to check

• Compare this against the other options in the range before deciding, since the closest alternative is often a better fit.
• Look at the specification you will still care about in two years, not only the one that matters this week.
• Match the processor to the work: light office and browsing needs far less than video editing or compiling.
