Worth knowing

A laptop is a set of compromises between speed, battery life, weight and screen size. There is no configuration that wins on all four, so the useful question is which of them you are willing to give up. Against the other 4139 laptops we list, this one sits towards the upper end of the range at R43 146, with most falling between R3 609 and R41 862.

Before you order

• Check the exact model and variant against what you own before ordering, as compatibility is usually model-specific.
• Screen size drives portability more than weight does. A 16-inch machine is a desk machine in practice.
• Check the port selection against what you actually plug in, and whether you will need a hub on top.
