Who this is for

It is a sensible fit for households that stream more than they broadcast and turning an existing TV into a smart one.

Some context

A media streamer is the cheapest way to modernise a TV that still has a good panel, and it is usually faster than the smart software built into the set. Against the other 30 media streamers we list, this one sits towards the affordable end of the range at R1 395, with most falling between R1 195 and R7 435.

Worth checking

• Where a listing offers several configurations, the difference is usually memory or storage rather than the core hardware.
• Check the exact model and variant against what you own before ordering, as compatibility is usually model-specific.
• Read the specification rather than the headline — the number in the title is rarely the one that decides the fit.
• If you are unsure whether this suits your setup, ask us before ordering rather than after.
• Confirm the variant matches the one you need; near-identical model codes often differ in one specification that matters.
